Those of us interested in rocking locs without making the commitment to locking our hair have the option of giving the look a test run with Faux Locs. I wasn’t an early fan of Faux Locs but they have definitely started to grow on me.
What are Faux Locs?
Faux locs is a style that involves using extensions, usually Marley Hair, to make a look that favors ‘Locs’. I am using the word Locs interchangeably with Dreads and Dreadlocks. The correct name is often debated and you’ll get different reaction from different people. There are different ways to install the style.One way involves creating twists with hair added in, and twisting the Marley Hair around that twists. Another way use pre-twisted hair that can be installed using the crochet method.
The style can be time consuming but the results are beautiful! The style can also be created using cornrows which saves times. Additionally, the style is extremely versatile and can be styled many different ways.
